On Tuesday, March 18, former The Branson School standout Charlie Zwibelman’s current college team, the Grinnell Pioneers, won 17-3 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Hendrix Warriors.
The game took place at Warrior Baseball Field. This was their second matchup against the Warriors this season.
The Pioneers’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 29 at 12 p.m. at Joe Brooks Baseball Field against Illinois Blue Boys.
In January 2025, Mecklenburg County Magistrate Teresa Stokes signed the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat arrestee later accused of fatally stabbing Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light-rail.
Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
These former Marin County area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
