On Saturday, April 5, former The Branson School standout Charlie Zwibelman’s current college team, the Grinnell Pioneers, won 19-6 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Monmouth Fighting Scots.
The game took place at Pioneer Park. This was their second matchup against the Fighting Scots this season.
The Pioneers’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, April 6 at 12 p.m. at Pioneer Park against Monmouth Fighting Scots.
In January 2025, Mecklenburg County Magistrate Teresa Stokes signed the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat arrestee later accused of fatally stabbing Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light-rail.
Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
These former Marin County area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
