Novato Unified School District had the highest enrollment among Marin County school districts, welcoming 7,423 students during the 2022-23 school year, according to the California Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.7% of them were boys, and 48% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Novato Unified School District students was white, accounting for 41.6% of the student population.

Among the 18 districts in Marin County, Tamalpais Union High School District ranked second in enrollment numbers with 4,813 students, while San Rafael City Elementary School District welcomed 4,271 students and ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.
