Enrollment at Miller Creek Elementary School District increased by 3.5% compared to previous school year

Miller Creek Elementary School District's schools enrolled 1,815 students in the 2022-23 school year, 3.5% more than the previous year, according to the California Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 52.8% of them were boys, and 47.2% were girls.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, making up 56.8% of the Miller Creek Elementary School District's total enrollment.

Miller Creek Elementary School District covers four schools within Marin County with its main office in San Rafael.

Among the four schools in Miller Creek Elementary School District, Miller Creek Middle School recorded the highest enrollment of 608 students in the 2022-23 school year.

In the last decade, enrollment in California elementary and secondary schools rose by at least 5%, while high school enrollment dropped 5%.

However, overall enrollment in California public schools is sliding, and the Public Policy Institute of California expects it to drop another 8% by the 2031-32 school year.
