How many students were enrolled in Larkspur-Corte Madera schools in 2022-23 school year?

Larkspur-Corte Madera's schools enrolled 1,260 students in the 2022-23 school year, 6.7% less than the previous year, according to the California Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.9% of them were boys, and 49.1% were girls.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, making up 71.5% of the Larkspur-Corte Madera's total enrollment.

Larkspur-Corte Madera School District covers three schools within Marin County with its main office in Larkspur.

Among the three schools in Larkspur-Corte Madera, Neil Cummins Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 471 students in the 2022-23 school year.

In the last decade, enrollment in California elementary and secondary schools rose by at least 5%, while high school enrollment dropped 5%.

However, overall enrollment in California public schools is sliding, and the Public Policy Institute of California expects it to drop another 8% by the 2031-32 school year.
