5.1% of citizens unemployed in Marin County in 2021

Marin County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.1% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 7,097 people out of the 262,387 living in Marin County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Marin County has increased compared to the 4.5% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Marin County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 6.5%.

Of the 130,756 people who had a job during that time, 143 were employed in the Armed Forces and 130,613 belonged to the civilian labor force.
