2.4 percent of the College of Marin students played sports on university teams in 2017-2018

In 2017-2018, 2.4 percent of the College of Marin students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

The College of Marin has a total student body of 5,026 students, of which 58 percent are women and 42 percent are men. Of these students, 70 men and 51 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 8.7 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at the College of Marin with the most participants are soccer (36), baseball (29) and basketball (20).
