On Sunday, March 9, former Tamalpais High School standout Jake Ferguson’s current college team, the Eastern Illinois Panthers, lost 8-7 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Northern Kentucky Norse.
The game took place at Bill Aker Baseball Complex. This was their third matchup against the Norse this season.
The Panthers’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 11 at 2 p.m. at Knights Field against Bellarmine Knights.
In January 2025, Mecklenburg County Magistrate Teresa Stokes signed the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat arrestee later accused of fatally stabbing Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light-rail.
Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
These former Marin County area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
