On Friday, March 7, former Archie Williams High School standout Cal Amborn’s current college team, the San Francisco Dons, lost 7-6 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Nevada Wolf Pack.
The game took place at Benedetti Diamond. This was their first matchup against the Wolf Pack this season.
The Dons’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 8 at 1 p.m. at Benedetti Diamond against Nevada Wolf Pack.
In January 2025, Mecklenburg County Magistrate Teresa Stokes signed the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat arrestee later accused of fatally stabbing Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light-rail.
Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
These former Marin County area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
