On Monday, Feb. 24, former The Branson School standout Charlie Zwibelman’s current college team, the Grinnell Pioneers, lost 12-8 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Greenville Panthers.
The game took place at Robert E. Smith Field. This was their first matchup against the Panthers this season.
The Pioneers’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 4 p.m. at Saucier Field against Westminster Blue Jays.
In January 2025, Mecklenburg County Magistrate Teresa Stokes signed the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat arrestee later accused of fatally stabbing Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light-rail.
Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
These former Marin County area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
