On Saturday, March 15, former Marin Academy standout Jacob Young’s current college team, the Brown Bears, lost 3-1 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Bryant Bulldogs.
The game took place at Conaty Park. This was their first matchup against the Bulldogs this season.
The Bears’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, March 16 at 11 a.m. at Conaty Park against Bryant Bulldogs.
In January 2025, Mecklenburg County Magistrate Teresa Stokes signed the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat arrestee later accused of fatally stabbing Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light-rail.
Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
These former Marin County area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
