On Friday, March 14, former Archie Williams High School standout Cal Amborn’s current college team, the San Francisco Dons, won 6-1 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Creighton Bluejays.
The game took place at Benedetti Diamond. This was their first matchup against the Bluejays this season.
The Dons’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 15 at 1 p.m. at Benedetti Diamond against Creighton Bluejays.
In January 2025, Mecklenburg County Magistrate Teresa Stokes signed the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat arrestee later accused of fatally stabbing Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light-rail.
Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
These former Marin County area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
