On Tuesday, March 4, former San Marin High School standout Anthony Scheppler’s current college team, the Ohio State Buckeyes, won 12-10 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the St. John’s Red Storm.
The game took place at Bill Davis Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Red Storm this season.
The Buckeyes’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 7 at 4 p.m. at Bill Davis Stadium against Valparaiso Beacons.
In January 2025, Mecklenburg County Magistrate Teresa Stokes signed the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat arrestee later accused of fatally stabbing Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light-rail.
Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
These former Marin County area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
